This is true regardless of whether we’re talking about server or desktop workloads. I just attended the BriForum 2012 event in London where there was a lot of discussion about how to address this problem in desktop virtualization environments, and it really struck me that focusing on it as only a virtual desktop issue is strategically shortsighted.
